The Garden State Skating Club is incredibly saddened to announce the passing of our beloved member Carl DeAngelis. Carl passed away on March 7, 2024 with his family by his side. Carl, most recently, sat on the GSSC Board of Trustees as our Legal Advisor. He had a love for skating that cannot be put into words. He loved our club dearly and was always our skaters number one fan. Carl played an integral part in GSSC’s history, and his hard work and advocacy for our club will help ensure a beautiful future. An avid skater himself, Carl was a force within the sport. A lifelong member of Garden State, Carl competed as both a young skater and an adult on a national level. The Garden State Skating Club remains one of the oldest, most successful clubs in the county thanks to Carl’s unwavering support and guidance. He will be forever missed but his memory will live on through the GSSC forever.
