The New Jersey Council of Figure Skating Clubs (NJCFSC) held their annual awards ceremony June 2nd-4th at the NJCFSC Championships.

The New Jersey Figure Skating Foundation (NJFSF) and the New Jersey Council of Figure Skating Clubs are proud to honor New Jersey’s student athletes for their accomplishments both on and off the ice.
Syena Schaad won the Ethel Garwood Memorial Trophy for placing first in the Pre-Juvenile Girls Free Skate event.
The following competitive awards and scholarships are available to figure skaters whose home club is a member of the New Jersey Council of Figure Skating Clubs and funding is provided by the New Jersey Figure Skating Foundation.
The following Garden State Skating Club figure skaters are among this year’s award recipients:
Grace Moore Competitive Junior Scholarship Award – Dedicated to Grace Moore who was a national judge, US Figure Skating Committee Volunteer, devoted member of the NJ figure skating community and mentor to so many. Skaters must be a Juvenile or Intermediate level skater and have competed for at least one year at a qualifying competition.
Emily Chang – Garden State Skating Club
Tess McGuinness – Garden State Skating Club
Cameron D’Mello – Garden State Skating Club
Grace Moore Competitive Senior Scholarship Award – Dedicated to Grace Moore who was a national judge, US Figure Skating Committee Volunteer, devoted member of the NJ figure skating community and mentor to so many. Skaters must be a Novice or higher level skater and have competed for at least one year at a qualifying competition.
Elizabeth Klemm – Garden State Skating Club
Academic Honors Team Scholarship Award – Recognizes five skaters annually who must be a high school junior or senior with outstanding academic records, community service and good standing with USFSA and a home club member of a NJ Council member club.
Emily Nesson – Garden State Skating Club (Holmdel HS)
Elizabeth Klemm – Garden State Skating Club (Communications HS)
